Practical guidance for the current JAG Work starter release.

The dashboard includes a setup checklist for your active job. Complete it to create a pay cycle, rate profile, pay periods, and first shift.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get an estimated payday total?

Add a job, create a pay profile with your rate, configure its pay cycle, generate pay periods, and then log shifts. The dashboard setup checklist links to each step.

Can I track more than one job?

Yes. Each job has its own currency, timezone, pay profiles, pay cycle, shifts, and deductions. Use the job switcher to move between them.

What is a pay profile?

A pay profile is a named set of rate and shift defaults, such as Weekday or Nights. New terms create an effective-dated version so previously logged shifts keep their original pay inputs.

Which shifts are included in pay estimates?

Worked and planned shifts are included so you can forecast an upcoming payday. Cancelled shifts stay in your history but are excluded from totals.

How accurate is estimated net pay?

It is an estimate based on your saved hourly rates, multipliers, premiums, and user-defined deductions. JAG Work does not currently calculate PAYE, National Insurance, pension rules, or other payroll taxes.

Can I export data or upload a payslip?

Not yet. Data export and payslip attachments are planned improvements, but they are not part of the current starter release.
